Through its subsidiaries, Investors Title Insurance Company (ITIC) and National Investors Title Insurance Company (NITIC), Co. is engaged in the issuance of residential and commercial title insurance. Through its two wholly owned title underwriting subsidiaries, ITIC and NITIC, Co. underwrites title insurance for owners and mortgagees as a primary insurer. ITIC and NITIC provide primary title insurance coverage to owners and mortgagees of real estate and assume reinsurance of title insurance risks from other title insurance companies. Title insurance protects against losses resulting from title defects affecting real property.
