BNY Mellon Strategic Municipals is a diversified closed-end management investment company. The Fund's investment objective is to maximize current income exempt from federal income tax to the extent consistent with the preservation of capital. Under normal market conditions, the Fund invests at least 80% of its net assets in municipal obligations. The Fund also invests 50% of its net assets in municipal bonds considered investment grade or the unrated equivalent as determined by the Fund's Adviser, BNY Mellon Investment Adviser, Inc., in the case of bonds, and in the two highest rating categories or the unrated equivalent as determined by the Adviser in the case of short-term obligations.
