Co. focuses on the acquisition, ownership and management of necessity-based community and neighborhood shopping centers on the west coast of the U.S., anchored by supermarkets and drugstores. Co. is organized in a conventional umbrella partnership real estate investment trust format pursuant to which its subsidiary, Retail Opportunity Investments GP, LLC, serves as the sole general partner of, and Co. conducts substantially all of its business through, its operating partnership, Retail Opportunity Investments Partnership, LP, a limited partnership, together with its subsidiaries.
