ETF Flows Report for 04/17/2024

By Dividend Channel Staff, Wednesday, April 17, 10:53 AM ET

This is the ETF Flows Report for 04/17/2024, reflecting new data for ETF units created or destroyed following the prior closing bell. For the total universe of ETFs covered by ETF Channel, there were combined total outflows of $6.1 billion day over day. Of note in today's report, the Blended Debt ETFs category saw inflows of $969.3 million. Among the ETFs in that category, iShares Core U.S. Aggregate Bond ETF (NYSE:AGG) had inflows of $675.3 million, MINT ETF (NYSE:MINT) had inflows of $309.1 million, and iShares Government/Credit Bond ETF (NYSE:GBF) had outflows of $15.1 million.

Although ETFs trade just like stocks, instead of ''shares'' investors are actually buying and selling ''units'' — which are routinely created or destroyed to accommodate investor demand. We monitor these changes, to keep a lookout for ETFs experiencing notable inflows (many new units created) or outflows (many old units destroyed).
